Children & Youth Elocution Competition
The Children & Youth Elocution Competition was successfully organised by Catholic Sabha and YCM on Sunday, 6th September 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Church Parish Hall, Moodubelle.
Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues was the Chief Guest. Dn. Shawn Andrade, Parish Council Secretary Mrs. Jyothi D'Souza, Mrs. Monica D'Souza, Coordinator of the 20 Commissions, and the judges from Yermal — Mr. Royden, Mr. Jeson, and Miss Roshni — were also present.
Around 20 children and youth participated enthusiastically in the competition and showcased their speaking talents. The winners of First, Second and Third places, along with consolation prize winners, were awarded prizes.
Mr. John Avin D'Souza, President of Catholic Sabha, welcomed the guests, participants and parents. Mr. Loy Fernandes, President of YCM, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered and concluded around 1:30 p.m., followed by refreshments, with snacks and juices served to all.
The competition was a wonderful opportunity for children and youth to develop their confidence, communication skills and public speaking talents.
