Sampada Udupi Organizes Awareness Programme on ’Raita Siri’ App at Moodubelle to Empower

Udupi/M’Belle, 6 Sep 2026: Sampada, Udupi, has introduced the Raita Siri app, a digital initiative aimed at strengthening the connection between farmers and consumers while promoting organic farming, sustainable agriculture and healthier food practices.
The initiative, led by Sampada Director Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto, seeks to provide farmers with greater visibility for their produce and help them secure fair returns by establishing a closer link with consumers.
The app also encourages consumers to purchase locally grown and organically cultivated agricultural products. By bringing producers and consumers closer, Raita Siri aims to reduce dependence on intermediaries while creating greater awareness about the importance of sustainable farming and healthy food.
The initiative places particular emphasis on supporting small and local farmers and encouraging organic cultivation. It also seeks to motivate people to grow vegetables and fruits at home and explore agriculture-based livelihood opportunities.
