Moodubelle Parishioners Extend Warm Welcome to New Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Stephan Rodriguez

Udupi/Moodubelle, May 7, 2026: St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle, joyfully welcomed Rev. Fr.Stephen Rodriguez as the newly appointed Assistant Parish Priest during a special prayer held at the Parish on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 4 pm.

The prayer was presided over by Rev. Fr. George D’Souza, Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church. Other dignitaries present on the dais included Dn. Shawn Andrade, Pritish D’Sa (Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council), Mrs. Jyothi Lavina D’Souza (Secretary), and Mrs. Monica D’Souza (Convener of the 20 Commissions).
Pritish D’Sa warmly welcomed Fr. Stephen Rodriguez to the parish and expressed confidence that his presence would enrich the spiritual life of the community. He also extended best wishes for his ministry among the faithful of Moodubelle.

In his message, Rev. Fr. George D’Souza welcomed Fr. Stephen Rodriguez and appreciated his readiness to serve the parish with dedication. He especially noted the importance of continuing the efforts toward digitizing parish records, a significant step toward modernization.

Fr. Stephen Rodriguez was welcomed by Rev. Fr. George D’Souza and members of the Finance Committee with a garland. Members of the Stree Sanghattan also extended a warm welcome with a bouquet.

In his response, Fr. Stephen Rodriguez expressed happiness at joining the parish community of Moodubelle. He said he felt blessed to begin his ministry among such a welcoming and supportive congregation and thanked Rev. Fr. George D’Souza for his guidance and encouragement. He requested the faithful to keep him in their prayers as he begins his pastoral service.
