Altar Boys
About Altar Boys
The Altar Boys (Altar Servers) of St Lawrence Church serve at the altar during Holy Mass and other liturgical celebrations. They assist the priest and are trained in the rubrics of the Roman Rite. Service at the altar instils in them a love for the Eucharist and the liturgy.
History
The tradition of altar servers at Moodubelle has produced many priests and committed lay Catholics who attribute their vocation to their years of altar service.
Objectives
To serve reverently at the altar; to learn the liturgical rubrics; to foster vocations to the priesthood and religious life; to participate in diocesan altar server competitions.
